PhotoRejuvenation

Say goodbye to the effects of time on your skin – take back your youth with photo rejuvenation.

How IPL treatments work
Our Intense Pulsed Light system releases precisely controlled strong pulses of filtered light that stimulate the fibroblast cells within your skin that produce collagen and elastin. This improves the irradiancy and tightness of your skin, controlling enlarged pores, and giving you a more uniform complexion.

This patented technology provides dramatic results for a variety of benign conditions, including:

  • Age spots
  • Sun-induced freckles
  • Uneven skin tone
  • Symptoms of rosacea
  • Birthmarks
  • Unsightly veins or broken capillaries
  • Acne scarring
  • Fine lines and wrinkles

While each photo facial treatment improves your skin, major improvements are typically accomplished over a series of treatments. Four to five IPL treatments are recommended per area (four to six weeks apart) for optimal results.

When you come in for your free consultation, our certified laser therapists will give you an estimate of how many treatments you will need to accomplish your goal. Once your photo facial treatment sessions are completed, you may want to return for an IPL treatment once a year to maintain your results.

Pre Treatment

  • Treatment area should be clean shaven
  • No waxing, bleaching, sugaring, electrolysis and any other form of
    • epilation (hair removal) for a minimum of 4 weeks prior to and for the duration of your treatment
  • Avoid sun tanning, tanning beds and self tanning creams
  • Avoid strong exfoliating creams (specifically those containing Retin A) two weeks prior to treatment and during entire course of treatment

Post Treatment

  • For 24 hours post treatment please avoid pools, hot tubs, excessive
exercise, shaving, and make-up or scented lotions at the treatment site.
  • Avoid sun exposure to treatment area including natural unprotected sun exposure, tanning beds and self tanners.  Use an SPF 30 or higher on
treatment area to decrease the potential for pigment change.
  • Clinically effective pigmented lesion treatments will cause the lesion to darken, crust over and/or dry out and eventually slough off. To minimize the possibility of infection or scaring, do not pick or remove dry or crusting skin.
